CrossFit LionHeart Kids/Teens is the first registered and licensed CrossFit Kids program in Central Pennsylvania. We are insured, and our Coaches have undergone thorough background checks. All classes are properly supervised and tailored to the abilities and interests of the students.
Crossfit Kids IS NOT just a scaled down version of Crossfit, but it IS geared towards and designed for a special population with specific neurological, cognitive and motor developmental needs. Crossfit Kids workouts are, first and foremost, FUN! That’s Rule #1, and Rule #2 says, “Read Rule #1″. The workouts consist of functional movements that children need to do in every day life such as squat, push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. During class, children learn how to perform the movements safely and effectively under the direct supervision of our trained Crossfit Kids Trainers. And, because children face many unexpected physical challenges in every day life, our Kids workouts are also constantly varied, just like life. No two workouts are ever the same, so children never get bored with the routine and the constant variation of movements keeps them interested and excited about participating.
The goal of the Kids Crossfit program is improve general physical fitness in order to prepare children to be safe in sports and in life. It is a broad and inclusive program that will help children to become well-rounded athletes who are better at any and every sport that they play because the program does not coach them to be good at just one thing. Our Trainers work with children to increase their physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
The goal of the Teens program is to establish a lifelong love for fitness. We want to build teens to be confident in themselves and learn the value of focus, perseverance, and motivation. Our program is based on 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. It is designed for both athletes and non-athletes alike. CrossFit for teens is a strength and conditioning program that encompasses aspects such as high intensity training along with weightlifting and gymnastic techniques.
